“Married at First Sight” star Ryan De Nino has died suddenly at just 40 years old.
De Nino, who appeared on the second season of the hit Lifetime reality show, died earlier this week in New Jersey, a family member confirmed to TMZ.
His family has not revealed what caused his unexpected death and is keeping the circumstances private for now.
De Nino became a familiar face to reality TV fans in 2015 when he signed up for the wild social experiment that asks complete strangers to meet for the first time at the altar — and immediately become husband and wife.
Then 29, the businessman was matched with Jessica Castro.
Their rocky marriage became one of the most memorable storylines of the season. Despite their ups and downs, Ryan and Jessica shocked some viewers when they chose to remain married on Decision Day.
The relationship ultimately fell apart, however, and the pair later divorced.
Following news of Ryan’s death, his sister Melissa shared an emotional message about the devastating loss.
“Life as I know it will never be the same,” she wrote.
Ryan was 40 years old.
