A tour bus carrying members of the rock band Buckcherry became caught up in a deadly multi-vehicle crash on a South Carolina highway early Friday morning.

No members of the band were injured in the wreck, but authorities confirmed that another person was killed.

The crash happened on Interstate 26 near Spartanburg as Buckcherry was traveling between stops on its “Roar Like Thunder” tour.

According to FOX Carolina, the person who died had apparently stopped on the highway and gotten out of their vehicle before the deadly collision.

Exactly how Buckcherry’s tour bus became involved in the chain of events remained unclear.

The band later addressed the tragedy in a statement.

“Tragically, authorities have confirmed that the collision that occurred ahead of our bus resulted in a fatality. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with the family and loved ones of the person who lost their life,” the band said.

Buckcherry, best known for hard-rock hits including “Crazy Bitch,” had been traveling from a performance at The Orange Peel in Asheville, North Carolina.

The group’s current lineup includes Josh Todd, Stevie Dacanay, Billy Rowe, Kelly LeMieux and Francis Ruiz.

Despite the frightening incident, the band said its tour would continue.

Buckcherry’s scheduled performance in Fort Lauderdale remained on the calendar, and no other changes were announced to the group’s upcoming shows.

The “Roar Like Thunder” tour takes its name from Buckcherry’s 2025 studio album of the same name.

The Los Angeles rockers first rose to prominence in the late 1990s and became a major name in 2000s hard rock, building a loyal following with their high-energy shows and provocative hits.

Friday’s fatal crash cast a tragic shadow over the latest leg of that tour, even as the musicians escaped without injury.

A representative for Buckcherry did not immediately provide additional comment.
