Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children have finally come face-to-face with their royal grandfather again.

Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, have reunited with King Charles III in the United Kingdom for the first time in four years, according to Page Six.

The private family moment marks a major turn in the long-running royal rift, especially after earlier plans for Meghan and the children to join Harry in Britain were reportedly scrapped over security concerns.

Meghan, 44, ultimately made the trip across the pond with Archie and Lilibet to join Harry, 41, in his homeland. The visit is expected to remain strictly private, with no public appearances planned for the Duchess of Sussex or the children.

Reps for Harry and Meghan declined Page Six’s request for comment.

The reunion is especially emotional because Archie and Lilibet have not been brought to England since 2022. That means this is the first time the young royals have seen King Charles, who has been battling cancer, in years.

According to a Page Six insider, the Sussex family is also hoping to visit Princess Diana’s burial site at Althorp Estate in Northamptonshire, England.

The trip comes after weeks of back-and-forth behind palace doors. Last month, Page Six reported that Harry and Meghan had canceled plans to bring their entire family to the U.K. after they were denied taxpayer-funded security.

At the time, a source told The Guardian that their plans to see family, friends and visit charitable causes close to Harry’s heart had been “pulled out from under their feet at the 11th hour.”

The insider added that Harry was still “looking at every option” to get Meghan and the children to England safely and keep them protected while they were there.

The Mirror also reported that Harry had been “frantically” trying to arrange a reunion between his children and his father while working to secure private protection for the family’s travels.

Harry had already returned to Britain on his own to support several charitable commitments, including kicking off the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.

The Duke of Sussex lost his official security privileges in 2020 after he and Meghan stepped back from royal duties. Since then, Harry has repeatedly said he does not feel safe bringing his wife and children to the U.K. without proper protection.

That has made the children’s return all the more dramatic.

For years, Charles has had little in-person time with his California-based grandchildren, while Harry’s relationship with the royal family has remained strained following his memoir Spare, high-profile interviews and the couple’s exit from royal life.

Now, after years of distance, security battles and painful family tension, Archie and Lilibet are back on British soil — and finally reunited with their grandfather, the King.
