Disney Channel actress Carla Jeffery, who became a familiar face to millions of young viewers before landing a major role in the hit Zombies franchise, has died at just 33 years old.

Jeffery’s death was announced Wednesday by her manager, Carla Alexander, in a heartbreaking Instagram post.

“It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Carla Jeffery, who passed away on September 1, 2026, at just 33 years old,” Alexander wrote.

A cause of death has not been revealed.

Alexander told Los Angeles station KTLA that additional information surrounding Jeffery’s death is expected to be released in the coming days.

Jeffery had been working in Hollywood since she was a child.

She was only 12 when she made her big-screen debut in the 2006 comedy Phat Girlz, starring Mo’Nique.

Just one year later, Jeffery landed a role on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, appearing in 10 episodes during the comedy’s sixth and seventh seasons.

Her career soon became closely tied to Disney Channel.

Beginning in 2011, Jeffery appeared in several popular Disney shows, including Good Luck Charlie, Shake It Up! and Best Friends Whenever.

But one of her most recognizable roles came with Disney’s massively popular Zombies franchise.

Jeffery played Bree, one of the central characters in the musical movie series, beginning with the first Zombies film in 2018.

The colorful musical franchise quickly developed a devoted young fan base and spawned multiple sequels, helping make Jeffery a recognizable face to a new generation of Disney viewers.

News of her sudden death at such a young age has stunned fans who watched her grow up on television.

Jeffery’s representatives have not yet publicly revealed what caused her death.
