Joe Biden set off fresh alarm bells after another awkward public appearance left critics questioning whether the 83-year-old former president knew where he was supposed to go.

The uncomfortable moment unfolded during the grand opening of Barack Obama’s presidential center in Chicago, where Biden appeared to mumble, linger near the podium and look around in confusion as the ceremony wrapped up.

What was supposed to be a polished, star-studded celebration of Obama’s legacy quickly turned into another viral Biden moment.

Footage from the event showed Biden standing near the stage as Obama walked past him and other dignitaries began moving away. But Biden appeared to remain in place, staring into the crowd and looking unsure of his next move.

At one point, he waved, scanned the audience and appeared to call out for his family.

“Where are the children?” Biden seemed to ask.

Moments later, he appeared to say, “Where’s my granddaughter?”

The strange scene immediately raised eyebrows.

As guests and performers crossed the stage, Biden seemed to look around for direction before eventually being joined by his wife, former First Lady Jill Biden.

The footage quickly spread online, with critics calling the moment another troubling sign in a long line of public stumbles, freezes and verbal slip-ups that have followed Biden for years.

The appearance came during a rare gathering of political heavyweights, including Biden, Obama, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.

But instead of the focus staying on Obama’s big day, Biden’s awkward stage moment stole the spotlight.

The incident has added new fuel to the already fierce debate over Biden’s health, mental sharpness and the decision by Democrats to let him pursue another presidential campaign in 2024 before finally stepping aside.

Hillary Clinton piled on the controversy this week when she called Biden’s reelection bid a “terrible mistake” during an appearance at New York’s 92nd Street Y.

Clinton argued Democrats may have been better off if the party had held a real primary instead of clearing the path for Biden.

“Very sadly, I believe whoever emerged from that contest, whether it was the vice president or a governor or a senator or anybody else, would have beaten Donald Trump,” Clinton said. “So I think it was a terrible miscalculation on the part of President Biden.”

Biden’s disastrous June 2024 debate performance against Trump became the breaking point for many Democrats. The former president stumbled through answers, appeared raspy and repeatedly struggled to project confidence on the national stage.

Pressure exploded inside the party after the debate, but Biden remained in the race for more than three weeks before finally ending his campaign.

Now, Jill Biden’s own words are bringing that painful chapter back into the spotlight.

The former first lady recently revealed she feared her husband may have been suffering a stroke during the debate.

Her comments stunned political watchers and gave Trump fresh ammunition.

Trump erupted on Truth Social, mocking Biden’s performance and blasting Jill for not stepping in.

“Jill Biden is now out there finally admitting that she did NOT know what went wrong with Sleepy Joe during our spectacular, and highly rated, 2024 Presidential Debate, where Joe was not exactly performing to the highest level of debate standards,” Trump wrote.

“She said that she thought he was having a ‘stroke,’ and various other really bad things, and yet never rushed onto the stage to help her troubled husband, as any good wife would do,” he continued.

Trump then suggested his own debate performance may have caused Biden to fall apart.

“The only thing she failed to mention was how well I was doing prior to his near total collapse,” Trump wrote.

“In other words, as many have asked, did my strong performance in that debate cause him to plain and simple ‘choke,’ leading to his ignominious defeat, or were other reasons the cause? Nobody else knows the answer to that, BUT I DO!!!”

Biden’s supporters may insist the former president was simply looking for his family during a crowded and emotional event.

But to his critics, the scene was impossible to ignore.

At 83, Biden is once again facing uncomfortable questions about his public appearances, his health and whether Democrats waited too long to confront what voters had already been seeing with their own eyes.
