Corey Feldman was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital after suffering a frightening medical emergency during a flight into LAX.
The 54-year-old former child star was flying from Chicago to Los Angeles on Monday afternoon when he reportedly became seriously ill in the air. By the time the plane landed, paramedics were waiting at the gate.
According to TMZ, Feldman was checked out by a doctor who happened to be on board the flight. Sources close to the situation said doctors believe the issue may have been pancreatitis or gallstones, though Feldman was still undergoing tests at the hospital.
The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed that crews responded to the airport for a male patient experiencing a medical emergency. Officials said the patient was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
TMZ later confirmed that the patient was Feldman.
The scary incident came just after Feldman had been spending time in the Midwest for his “Stand By Me” Live Tour stop in Chicago. Before the health scare, he appeared to be in good spirits, sharing posts from the tour and even visiting Michael Jackson’s family home in Gary, Indiana.
The sudden emergency marked a dramatic turn for the actor and musician, who has remained a familiar face to fans for decades thanks to his roles in 1980s classics like “The Goonies,” “Stand by Me,” and “The Lost Boys.”
As of Monday evening, Feldman remained at the hospital while doctors continued to run tests.
His representatives had not yet issued a public statement.
