Singer Killed at 32 in Horror Helicopter Crash in Brazil

Singer Oliver Tree has died at just 32 years old after a devastating helicopter crash in Brazil, according to local authorities.

The shocking crash happened Sunday morning in Rio de Janeiro, where two helicopters reportedly collided above an electric vehicle yard in the city’s southwest region.

CNN Brazil, citing Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro, reported that Tree was among six people killed in the midair disaster.

According to reports, Tree was traveling in one helicopter with four other people when it collided with a second helicopter, which was being flown by a pilot who was alone onboard.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Local outlet Metrópoles reported that Tree was in the aircraft with passengers Lucas Vignale, Gaspar Prim and Lucas Brito Chaves, along with pilot Alexandre Souza.

The second helicopter was reportedly being flown by pilot Charles Marsillac.

The news stunned fans around the world, as Tree had been preparing to return to the road for a packed international tour.

He was scheduled to kick off a new run of shows in Lisbon, Portugal, on July 1, before heading across the United States, Europe, Australia and China.

Tree first rose to fame as a teenager in 2010, when he began making music under the name “Tree” and worked with major names including Skrillex and Zeds Dead.

He released an independent album in 2013 before briefly stepping away from the spotlight to study music technology.

His breakout came years later with his 2020 debut studio album, Ugly Is Beautiful, which went gold in the United States.

The album featured his hit single Life Goes On, which went platinum and became one of his most recognizable songs.

Tree later followed up with Cowboy Tears, Alone in a Crowd, and Love You Madly Hate You Badly, which was released in April.

His music career was still in full swing at the time of the crash, making his sudden death even more heartbreaking for fans.

Tree was just 32 years old.
