Frankie Valli has abruptly ended the rest of the Four Seasons’ farewell tour, telling fans he needs to step away from the stage and focus on his health.
The 92-year-old music icon, whose soaring falsetto helped define one of the most unforgettable sounds of the 1960s, announced the heartbreaking decision Friday on social media.
“I’m so sorry to disappoint the folks who have purchased tickets to my shows, but I have decided to take the rest of the year off from touring to focus on my health,” Valli wrote.
The announcement brings a sudden stop to the remaining 2026 dates on the Four Seasons’ farewell run, which had been billed as “The Last Encores.”
For longtime fans, the news hits hard.
Valli launched the extended farewell tour in October 2023, giving audiences across the country one more chance to hear the voice behind classics like “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Walk Like a Man,” and “December 1963 (Oh What a Night).”
But after several April shows were first pushed back to summer and fall dates, the rest of the year has now been wiped from the schedule completely.
Eight remaining performances in cities including Scottsdale, Arizona, and Detroit have officially been canceled.
Valli is the frontman and only original member of the Four Seasons still performing with the group. His voice helped make the band one of the most successful acts of its era, with a catalog that has remained beloved for generations.
The Four Seasons sold an estimated 100 million records worldwide and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.
Valli also built a successful solo career, proving he was more than just the voice of a group. Decades after his first hits, his music was introduced to new audiences through “Jersey Boys,” the smash Broadway musical inspired by the rise of the Four Seasons.
The singer received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2026, another milestone in a career that has stretched across more than six decades.
Even in his 90s, Valli had continued to keep a demanding tour schedule, stunning fans with his determination to stay onstage.
Now, he appears to be putting his health first.
Still, the legendary performer did not make his message sound like a final goodbye. In fact, Valli left the door open for a return.
“I’m looking forward to getting healthy and seeing you all again soon,” he told fans.
For now, one of pop music’s most famous voices is stepping away from the spotlight.
But after a lifetime of hit records, packed theaters, and standing ovations, Frankie Valli’s legacy is already sealed.

I’m actually surprised that Frankie Valley would even consider preforming at 92, why?
Awareness: “know when to hold em and know when to fold em”
Good for him . If his fans don’t understand not a true fan .. Like one fan said know when to fold .Blessings to him
Why shouldn’t he if his health permitted! At least he was smart enough to listen to his body! If he was healthy and able he should have done it!
