Rich Tourists Pay to ‘Hunt’ Pregnant Women and Children in Sick ‘Human Safari’

Shocking new allegations tied to the brutal siege of Sarajevo are resurfacing decades later — and the claims are so horrifying they sound ripped straight from a nightmare.

Investigators are now reportedly looking into disturbing accusations that wealthy foreigners traveled to war-torn Bosnia during the 1990s and paid huge sums of money for the chance to shoot innocent civilians in what has been described as a sick “human safari.”

According to multiple journalists and witnesses, rich thrill-seekers allegedly handed cash to Bosnian Serb fighters during the siege of Sarajevo between 1992 and 1996 so they could take sniper shots at terrified civilians trapped inside the city.

The allegations first gained attention years ago but are now being revisited as Italian prosecutors reportedly examine new evidence tied to the claims.

During the nearly four-year siege, more than 10,000 people were killed after Bosnia and Herzegovina declared independence from Yugoslavia. Civilians trying to cross streets, gather food, or simply survive were often targeted by snipers hidden around the city.

Now, some witnesses claim those shooters may not have all been soldiers.

Croatian journalist Domagoj Margetic published explosive allegations in his book Pay and Shoot, which included documents allegedly supplied by Bosnian intelligence officer Nedzad Ugljen before he was assassinated in 1996.

The claims are beyond chilling.

According to reports, wealthy foreigners allegedly paid the equivalent of tens of thousands of dollars depending on who they wanted to target. It’s claimed shooters paid around $47,000 to kill a middle-aged civilian, roughly $56,000 to shoot a young woman, and even more — around $66,000 — to target a pregnant woman.

Children allegedly brought the highest prices of all.

Margetic told The Times the alleged sniper tourists competed with each other for kills.

“Ugljen also wrote the foreigners competed to see who could shoot the most beautiful women,” the journalist claimed.

He also alleged that one witness told him a European royal family member may have been among the shooters, claiming the mystery figure “wanted to shoot at children.”

One former volunteer with a Bosnian Serb tank unit, 63-year-old Aleksandar Licanin, said he personally saw groups of wealthy foreigners taking sniper positions around Sarajevo during the war.

“I want the truth to come out,” Licanin told The Times. “I am prepared to stand up and tell the Italian magistrates what I know.”

He claimed many of the alleged sniper tourists came from Britain, Germany, and Italy.

“The first time I saw them was around 1993 or 1994,” he recalled. “They wore expensive leather jackets. They were helped to find targets, and shooting from the cemetery was a clear shot — you had everything.”

The horrifying allegations gained even more attention earlier this year when reports surfaced that an 80-year-old former truck driver was under investigation in connection with the claims.

While many details remain unproven, the resurfacing accusations are reigniting outrage over one of Europe’s darkest modern wars — and raising fresh questions about whether wealthy foreigners really treated the slaughter of innocent civilians like a twisted sport.
