Robert Irwin Nearly Killed by 14 Foot Crocodile Named After Jimmy Fallon

Robert Irwin is lucky to be alive after a terrifying crocodile encounter that sounds straight out of one of his late father Steve Irwin’s wildest TV moments.

The 22-year-old wildlife star revealed he was violently “death rolled” by a monstrous 14-foot crocodile during a horrifying stunt gone wrong — and for a few terrifying seconds, he thought he could be crushed underneath the beast.

Even crazier? The giant reptile is named after Jimmy Fallon.

During an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Robert stunned the audience as he described the moment the massive crocodile suddenly turned on him while he was trying to research the animal in the wild.

“I jumped on him, and I kid you not, this huge croc death rolled me,” Robert said.

The young conservationist explained that the gigantic predator flipped him underneath its body, pinning him to the ground with what he estimated was nearly 700 pounds of crushing force.

“I’m stuck underneath him with my arm hanging out,” Robert recalled. “And I’m just thinking, ‘What do I do?’”

For a horrifying moment, the son of legendary “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin thought he might not escape.

Then, in what sounds like pure luck, the crocodile suddenly rolled the opposite direction — freeing Robert before things turned deadly.

Fans immediately compared the terrifying ordeal to the dangerous animal encounters Steve Irwin became famous for before his tragic death in 2006.

Robert explained that the crocodile, which he named “Jimmy Fallon” years ago when it was much smaller, has since grown into what experts call a “boss croc” — an enormous dominant predator capable of killing almost anything in its path.

“He’s huge,” Robert admitted.

The shocking revelation comes as Robert’s fame in America continues exploding following his 2025 “Dancing With the Stars” victory with partner Witney Carson.

But despite becoming a TV heartthrob and fan favorite, Robert insists he still prefers wrestling giant reptiles over surviving Los Angeles traffic.

In a recent interview, he joked that driving in LA scares him more than crocodiles.

After hearing this insane story, fans may seriously question that claim.

I wouldn’t be surprised if his dad whispered in the croc’s ear (or whatever) and said “Hey! No! That’s my SON you’re messing with.” Because I think all croc’s know at least one thing: don’t mess with the Irwins. They are inherently born with that knowledge. LOL

Seriously though, I’m glad he’s safe!
