TV Star Found Guilty in Brutal Attempted Murder of Makeup Artist Girlfriend

A former TV actor who once appeared on the hit sitcom How I Met Your Mother could now spend the rest of his life behind bars after a California jury found him guilty in a horrifying attempted murder case that left his ex-girlfriend fighting to survive.

Nick Pasqual was convicted Friday on multiple charges, including attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary with a person present, and domestic violence-related offenses after prosecutors said he viciously stabbed his estranged girlfriend more than 20 times inside her Los Angeles-area home.

The victim, makeup artist Allie Shehorn, barely survived the savage 2024 attack that prosecutors described as a calculated act of violence carried out after the couple’s breakup.

According to testimony presented in court, Pasqual broke into Shehorn’s home in Sunland, California, despite an active restraining order already filed against him. Authorities said the actor launched into a bloody frenzy, repeatedly stabbing her and leaving her critically injured.

After the attack, Pasqual allegedly tried to run for the border.

Investigators tracked him down near the Fort Hancock International Bridge in Sierra Blanca, Texas, where he was arrested before he could cross into Mexico. He was later extradited back to California to face trial.

Now, the disgraced actor faces a possible life sentence in state prison when he returns to court for sentencing.

The shocking case stunned many in Hollywood, especially after disturbing details about the couple’s past relationship emerged during the trial.

Court records revealed Shehorn had accused Pasqual of multiple violent incidents before the stabbing. In her restraining order filing, she alleged he struck her with a belt in January 2024, smashed doors inside their home weeks later, and later raped and choked her during an alleged April attack.

Then came the near-fatal stabbing.

One of the most emotional moments in court came when Shehorn described desperately trying to escape as Pasqual forced his way inside.

“I locked the door and he just started punching holes in that door,” she testified through tears. “I just ran into the bathroom because I thought there’s another lock on that door.”

Her roommate and friend, Christine White, later discovered the gruesome scene and called for help.

“She was bleeding out,” White previously said, recalling the traumatic moment she found her friend after the attack. “That wasn’t a pretty sight.”

Doctors managed to save Shehorn’s life, but the injuries were devastating.

The Hollywood makeup artist — whose credits include films like Mean Girls and Rebel Moon — spent more than a week hospitalized and continues to suffer long-term damage.

She has spoken publicly about partial vision loss, nerve damage in her hands, and permanent scars across her throat and body.

“I just hope that there’s justice served,” Shehorn previously said. “People should know this shouldn’t happen and he can’t get away with it.”

Pasqual had small acting credits over the years, including an appearance on Archive 81, and also worked as a producer on the comedy series National Day Riff.

Court records also showed the actor had previous DUI convictions dating back to 2013 and 2014.

With the guilty verdict now delivered, Pasqual’s Hollywood career appears over — and his future may be spent inside a prison cell.
