Talk about a family tree twist nobody saw coming.
In a revelation that’s turning heads on both sides of the Atlantic, insiders claim King Charles III was left privately rattled after discovering he shares distant blood ties with none other than President Donald Trump.
The bombshell surfaced right as the King touched down in Washington, D.C. alongside Queen Camilla for a high-profile state visit hosted by Trump himself—making the already delicate political optics even more surreal.
According to newly surfaced genealogical research, Charles and Trump are distant cousins, both tracing their lineage back to a 16th-century Scottish nobleman tied to James II of Scotland.
Experts say the connection runs through a tangled web of aristocratic bloodlines and Scottish clans, eventually linking Trump’s maternal side—through his mother Mary Anne MacLeod—to the same extended family tree as the House of Windsor.
In other words: centuries apart, but technically family.
One insider didn’t sugarcoat the King’s alleged reaction.
“There was real discomfort,” the source claimed. “Not because of the history—that happens all the time—but because Charles can’t stand what Trump represents.”
The insider went even further, saying the monarch was “sickened” by the idea of being related, citing sharp differences in views on everything from climate policy to personality.
Still, even critics admit the irony hasn’t gone unnoticed.
“He sees the humor in it,” the source added. “But it’s definitely not something he’s celebrating.”
While palace whispers paint a frosty reaction, Trump has taken a far more upbeat tone when it comes to the royals.
The president has repeatedly praised the monarchy, previously calling Charles “a great guy” and reflecting fondly on his relationship with the late Queen Elizabeth II.
“I had a really good relationship with her,” Trump once said. “She was unbelievable.”
Despite past reports that the Queen wasn’t exactly a fan of Trump’s style, the president has continued to publicly admire the royal family—and now, apparently, his extended one.
The timing couldn’t be more dramatic.
Charles’ U.S. visit is meant to reinforce ties between the United Kingdom and America, even as officials reportedly shift away from calling it a “special relationship” and lean toward more measured language.
But behind the scenes, this bizarre ancestral link has added a layer of intrigue—and awkwardness—to an already high-stakes diplomatic moment.
From elegant garden parties at the British Embassy to closed-door meetings at the White House, the royal visit is packed with symbolism. And now, it comes with a side of headline-grabbing family drama.
Historians say these kinds of connections aren’t rare, especially given how European bloodlines spread into America over centuries.
Still, the idea that a modern U.S. president and a British king are distant cousins? That’s the kind of twist that feels tailor-made for tabloid headlines.
And it raises a question few expected to ask:
If politics is already complicated… what happens when it becomes a family affair?

According to Ancestry, we are also related as first cousins 20 times removed in at least three lines. No big thing.
Harry will laugh about it, but MeAgain will try & run it up the flagpole if she can make a buck off of it !
Personally, I think it’s hilarious.
Some of my family came here from Germany, hired by the Brits during the Revolutionary War. Not mercenaries, our family lineage is made of tradesmen. Blacksmiths, Tinkers, & Butchers predominantly. The one we can trace back farthest was a Tinker (tin-smith)
I bet Trump is more sickened about it than King Fart
