Kai Trump’s trip to one of golf’s most exclusive events took a frightening turn behind the scenes — and it had nothing to do with the crowds or controversy.
The 18-year-old granddaughter of Donald Trump revealed she suffered a “scary” health emergency while attending the 2026 The Masters Tournament in Augusta — one that required urgent medical treatment.
In a candid YouTube video, Kai opened up about the moment things went wrong.
“I started getting these bumps on my neck,” she said, describing how a sudden and aggressive skin reaction began while she was at the tournament.
What started as a simple breakout quickly escalated into something much more serious.
“I had to get a shot — a steroid shot,” she explained.
And it wasn’t minor.
“I mean, the needle was like this big,” Kai added, holding her fingers several inches apart to show just how intense the injection was.
The cause? A decision she now regrets.
Kai admitted she had been using hand soap to wash off her makeup while traveling — something that likely triggered the severe reaction on her skin.
“I think I was breaking out because of that,” she said, calling the entire ordeal “so scary.”
At one of the most high-profile sporting events in the world, the last thing anyone expects is a sudden medical scare — but for Kai, the glamorous trip quickly turned into a painful and alarming situation that needed immediate attention.
Thankfully, she says the rash has since cleared up, and she’s fully recovered.
Still, the incident offered a rare glimpse behind the polished social media posts — revealing that even in picture-perfect settings, things can go wrong fast.

Maybe the makeup not the soap.
