Priscilla Presley has reportedly become increasingly worried about the future of Elvis Presley’s twin granddaughters as the teenagers prepare to follow their famous family into Hollywood, raising painful fears about the tragedies that have haunted the Presley dynasty for decades.
The 81-year-old actress is said to be deeply concerned about Harper and Finley Lockwood, who turned 18 in October and are reportedly eager to make names for themselves in entertainment. While their legendary grandfather’s name could open doors, Priscilla allegedly fears the pressures of fame could come at a devastating personal cost.
“She’s terrified about what they’re up against,” an unnamed insider told RadarOnline, warning that Hollywood can be a difficult environment for young women, even those with powerful family connections.
The concerns reportedly stem from the family’s heartbreaking history. Elvis Presley died in 1977 at just 42 after years of health struggles, while his only daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, died unexpectedly in January 2023 at 54. Her death was attributed to a small bowel obstruction caused by complications from weight-loss surgery performed years earlier.
Now, more than three years after losing their mother, Harper and Finley are reportedly considering careers that would put them directly in the spotlight.
According to the insider, Harper is interested in pursuing singing and modeling, while Finley hopes to explore acting and other creative opportunities. Neither sister has publicly confirmed the specific career plans described in the report.
The twins, whose father is musician Michael Lockwood, have largely grown up away from the intense attention surrounding their famous relatives. However, they have begun making more public appearances, including a magazine cover alongside their grandmother in 2025.
Priscilla also shared a rare photograph celebrating their 18th birthday on October 7, giving fans another glimpse of the young women as they entered adulthood.
Their older half-sister, actress Riley Keough, 37, could reportedly play a significant role in helping them navigate Hollywood’s competitive environment.
Keough knows the industry firsthand, having started modeling as a teenager before establishing herself as an actress. She also carries considerable responsibility within the Presley family following her mother’s death.
After a highly publicized dispute over Lisa Marie’s estate, Keough became its sole trustee in 2023. The family trust oversees assets that include Graceland, Elvis’ beloved Memphis mansion, and the sisters’ interests in Elvis Presley Enterprises.
According to RadarOnline’s source, some people connected to the estate believe Keough should become involved in the twins’ future entertainment projects, potentially as an executive producer or financial backer. Such an arrangement could allow her to help supervise business decisions and protect her younger sisters from exploitation.
However, there is no confirmation that any such arrangement has been proposed formally or agreed upon.
For Priscilla, the reported concerns highlight a difficult balancing act: allowing the twins to pursue their ambitions while protecting them from the darker pressures that can accompany celebrity.
Priscilla has not publicly confirmed the fears attributed to her, and there is no indication that Harper or Finley is currently facing any danger or professional difficulties.
Still, as another generation of Presleys considers stepping into the entertainment industry, the family’s extraordinary legacy is once again attracting attention — along with questions about how the youngest heirs will handle life in the spotlight.
