Trump’s Grandson, 13, Looks Just Like Young Barron

President Donald Trump’s grandson is growing up fast, and new photos from his 13th birthday have fans noticing a striking resemblance to another member of the famous family: his uncle Barron Trump.

Joseph Frederick Kushner, the middle child of Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, celebrated his milestone birthday Wednesday, October 14, with a special dinner hosted by his grandfather at the White House.

Ivanka shared a series of rare family photographs from the celebration, giving followers a glimpse of the teenager’s special evening inside one of America’s most famous buildings.

But it was Joseph’s appearance that immediately invited comparisons to Barron, Trump’s youngest son.

In one photograph, Joseph stands outside the White House wearing a dark gray suit, white shirt and tie. His neatly styled brown hair and youthful features resemble photographs of Barron taken during Trump’s first presidential term.

Another picture shows Joseph posing alongside his grandfather inside the Oval Office, recalling images of a much younger Barron standing beside his father during the family’s first years in Washington.

“An unforgettable birthday dinner for Joseph, hosted by Grandpa at the White House,” Ivanka wrote on Instagram.

“Thirteen is off to quite a start!”

The photos also featured Ivanka and Jared, who joined their son for the family celebration.

For Joseph, becoming a teenager marked another milestone in a childhood spent partly in the national spotlight.

Born in October 2013, he is the second of Ivanka and Jared’s three children. His older sister, Arabella, is 15, while his younger brother, Theodore, is 10.

Although Joseph and Barron belong to different generations of the Trump family, the two are relatively close in age.

Barron, the only child of Donald and Melania Trump, turned 20 in March, making him approximately six and a half years older than his nephew.

Their age difference has helped create a relationship that resembles a friendship between older and younger relatives rather than a traditional uncle-nephew dynamic.

The boys spent considerable time together during Trump’s first presidency, when Ivanka and Jared worked as senior White House advisers and moved their family from New York to Washington.

During that period, Barron was frequently photographed spending time with his younger nieces and nephews.

One memorable photograph from 2017 showed Barron holding Joseph’s hand while walking across the White House South Lawn with Melania Trump.

Ivanka also spoke publicly about the children’s playful relationship, describing how Barron enjoyed entertaining her kids during family gatherings.

“Now with Barron here they have so much fun together, and they are so young,” she explained in a 2017 interview.

She recalled hearing the children laughing as they chased one another, occasionally leaving little Joseph struggling to keep up.

Ivanka joked that Barron and Arabella sometimes sent Joseph running in different directions during their games.

Those childhood moments offered a rare glimpse into the private side of a family that was constantly surrounded by politics, security and public attention.

Today, the children are considerably older, and their lives have taken different paths.

After Donald Trump left office in January 2021, Ivanka and Jared relocated to South Florida, eventually settling on Indian Creek Island near Miami.

The couple purchased a waterfront property for approximately $24 million and undertook extensive renovations before moving into the home with their three children.

Ivanka has largely stepped away from government responsibilities during her father’s second administration, choosing instead to focus on her family, business interests and philanthropic activities.

Despite living in Florida, she continues to share occasional family moments on social media, including birthdays, holidays and visits with her father.

Barron, meanwhile, graduated from Oxbridge Academy in Palm Beach County in 2024 before enrolling at New York University’s Stern School of Business.

He has since continued his studies in Washington, D.C., while maintaining a relatively private public profile.

Although Barron rarely gives interviews, family members have occasionally shared details about his interests.

He is known to be interested in technology, artificial intelligence and business, subjects that have reportedly become frequent topics of conversation during family gatherings.

His sister-in-law Lara Trump previously described a White House dinner during which Barron correctly identified an artificial intelligence-generated image that had fooled several other relatives.

The youngest Trump son has also attracted attention for his height and increasingly mature appearance, making his childhood photographs alongside Joseph especially striking today.

And while Joseph is still years away from college, the new birthday pictures show how quickly he is growing up.

The family resemblance is not the only thing connecting the two.

Both boys have experienced childhoods shaped by the unusual circumstances of having a father or grandfather serving as president.

For Barron, that meant growing up partly in the White House during his father’s first term.

For Joseph, it has meant attending important family celebrations in Washington while maintaining a largely private life away from politics.

Wednesday’s birthday dinner offered another memorable moment for the younger generation.

Rather than an ordinary restaurant celebration, Joseph marked his 13th birthday inside the White House with his parents and grandfather.

And judging by Ivanka’s affectionate message, the occasion was one the family won’t soon forget.

As Joseph enters his teenage years, the latest photographs are also reminding longtime Trump watchers just how much he resembles his famous uncle during his own early years at the White House.
