Meghan Markle is reportedly ready to make peace with Princess Kate — but insiders say she has absolutely no intention of “bowing” to her sister-in-law or begging her way back into the royal family.

The Duchess of Sussex, 45, is back in Britain with Prince Harry, 41, and their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, after the family spent six years living in California.

Their dramatic return has immediately reignited questions about Harry and Meghan’s years-long feud with Prince William and Kate, both 44, especially amid speculation that the Sussexes could remain in Britain for an extended period.

The move reportedly caught members of the royal family off guard and has put the fractured relationship between the two couples back under an intense spotlight.

Now, sources claim Meghan is open to repairing her relationship with Kate — but only if the Princess of Wales is willing to meet her halfway.

“Meghan is prepared to be civil and she recognizes that rebuilding a relationship with Kate would make life enormously easier for everyone,” a palace source told RadarOnline.

But the source insisted Meghan will not return to Britain and accept responsibility for everything that went wrong.

“What she will not do is arrive back in Britain, bow her head and accept that everything that went wrong was somehow her fault,” the insider claimed.

According to the source, Meghan believes any real reconciliation would require both sides to acknowledge their role in the bitter fallout.

Another insider said Meghan has reached a point where she simply refuses to “grovel” for acceptance — even if doing so could help smooth over tensions with the future Queen.

“She may genuinely want the hostility between them to end, particularly now that they are living in the same country again, but she doesn’t believe reconciliation should require her to take all of the blame or behave as though she alone has something to apologize for,” the source claimed.

Meghan reportedly believes the boundaries she has established since leaving royal life are necessary to protect herself, Harry and their children.

Still, insiders insist she is willing to see whether she and Kate can eventually develop a calmer relationship.

“She is willing to explore whether she and Kate can establish a different, more peaceful relationship, but it would have to be based on mutual respect and effort from both women,” the source said.

But one thing is apparently off the table.

“She isn’t going to bow to Kate, beg for forgiveness or pretend that her own grievances never existed simply to secure a royal peace deal.”

Meghan and Kate’s relationship has been the subject of intense speculation for years, but their alleged tensions exploded into public view following Harry and Meghan’s bombshell 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey.

During the interview, Meghan disputed reports that she had made Kate cry during an argument over flower-girl dresses ahead of Meghan’s 2018 wedding to Harry.

Instead, Meghan claimed it was Kate who made her cry.

She said Kate later apologized by bringing her flowers and writing her a note.

Despite revealing the deeply personal disagreement, Meghan also described Kate as a “good person.”
