Michelle Obama is reportedly laying down the law in Hollywood — and Cheryl Hines may be the one feeling the freeze.

The former First Lady is said to have blocked Hines from appearing in Larry David’s new HBO comedy series, Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness: An Almost History of America, because of the actress’ ties to President Donald Trump’s orbit through her husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Obama, 62, is executive producing the seven-episode sketch series alongside her husband, former President Barack Obama, through their Higher Ground production company. Barack is also set to appear as a guest star.

But according to insiders, there was one familiar Larry David face Michelle allegedly did not want anywhere near the project.

“No Cheryl Hines,” she reportedly made clear.

Hines, 60, famously played Larry David’s long-suffering wife on Curb Your Enthusiasm for all 12 seasons. For years, she and David were one of television’s most beloved comedy pairings.

Behind the scenes, however, sources claim Hines had hoped the new HBO project would be her chance to reunite with David after Curb wrapped for good.

One insider told the Daily Mail that Hines felt “terribly hurt and emotionally injured” after being shut out, especially after working so closely with David for so many years.

“Cheryl’s dream was to work with Larry again and be part of the cast of the new show,” the source claimed. “She firmly believed that the staunch anti-Trumper could put aside his negative political views about MAGA and Kennedy.”

But insiders claim that dream hit a brick wall once Michelle got involved.

“But banning Cheryl was a command from Michelle that Larry could not go against, even if he had wanted to, for old time’s sake,” the source alleged.

The insider added that David still respected Hines as an actress, but Michelle was the one calling the shots.

“Michelle’s the boss,” the source said. “And you don’t cross the boss, especially a powerful anti-MAGA force like Michelle.”

The drama reportedly stems from Hines’ marriage to Kennedy, who has become a major figure in Trump’s political world after breaking from his famous Democratic family legacy.

According to the report, Michelle did not simply object to Hines professionally. Insiders claim she viewed the actress as too closely tied to MAGA politics because of Kennedy’s role in Trump’s administration.

One source claimed Michelle did not consider Hines an especially strong actress, but said the real issue was political.

The insider alleged Michelle saw Hines as “all MAGA” because of her marriage to Kennedy, whom the source claimed Michelle viewed as a “turncoat” to the Democratic Party.

Another insider went even further, claiming Michelle “can be a b—- on wheels when she wants to.”

While sources say Michelle does not control the scripts for the HBO series, they claim she does have influence over casting and approved the guest stars.

That power, insiders allege, was enough to keep Hines off the call sheet.

The alleged snub comes as Larry David himself continues to make his anti-Trump feelings known. At the premiere of the new show, David slammed Trump’s White House UFC event and said the spectacle made him “embarrassed to be American.”

For Hines, the reported rejection appears to be another sign of how deeply politics has reshaped Hollywood friendships.

Once one of Larry David’s most famous on-screen partners, she is now allegedly on the outside looking in — and insiders say Michelle Obama made sure it stayed that way.
