Harry Styles gave fans a real scare Friday night after a playful onstage moment suddenly turned into a gasp-worthy scene at Wembley Stadium.
The 32-year-old pop superstar appeared to choke on water while trying to pull off his famous “whale” spit move during his packed London show, sending him tumbling to the stage as stunned fans watched from the crowd.
The scary moment came as Europe continued to bake under a brutal heatwave, making the already high-energy concert even more intense.
Fan video circulating on social media showed the “Watermelon Sugar” singer grabbing a water bottle from the stage floor, taking a quick sip, then spitting it back out. Seconds later, Styles appeared to cough and lose his footing before dropping onto his back.

For several tense moments, the former One Direction heartthrob stayed on the floor as he tried to catch his breath. In the clip, Styles could be seen tugging at his tie and hitting his chest a few times while fans filmed from the audience.
Then, in true showman fashion, he managed to bounce back up, wave to the crowd and run offstage.
Still, the brief collapse was enough to rattle fans online.
“Must admit that on the livestream I was afraid for a few seconds,” one worried viewer wrote on Instagram.
“Oh HELL no! He was struggling for REAL real,” another fan posted on X.
A third questioned why no one appeared to step in sooner, writing, “Why didn’t any of his team notice that he was struggling with his tie? This is so bad.”
Styles’ representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The frightening hiccup came during his latest Wembley Stadium stop, where thousands of fans had gathered to see the “As It Was” singer perform.
Despite the alarming moment, Styles is still expected to continue his run at the famed London venue. His next show is scheduled for Saturday night, with more performances listed for June 29, July 1, July 3 and July 4.
For now, fans are hoping the pop star is doing just fine — and maybe taking it a little easier with the water-bottle theatrics.
