Kai Trump is getting torched online after casually calling the White House “my house” during a glossy new YouTube vlog, with furious critics accusing the 19-year-old of acting like the nation’s most famous residence is a Trump family mansion.
The backlash erupted after President Donald Trump’s granddaughter walked viewers through the White House and kicked off the tour with a remark that immediately set off social media.
“All right, guys, welcome into my house,” Kai said as she entered the building.
The comment quickly drew outrage from critics who reminded her that the White House belongs to the American people — not the Trump family.
During the tour, Kai appeared completely at ease as she strolled through the historic halls, joked about presidential portraits, and pointed out rooms most Americans will never see from the inside.
Stopping near a portrait of George Washington, she quipped, “We got my best friend, George Washington. We’re real tight.”
Kai also reminisced about her childhood visits to the White House, telling viewers, “I used to play soccer in these halls.”
The vlog continued through the red room and blue room before Kai breezed past a painting connected to her grandfather’s July 2024 assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, when he raised his fist and shouted “fight, fight, fight” after the shooting.
But the moment that really stunned viewers came when Kai entered the Oval Office, sat behind the Resolute Desk, and pointed out items on the president’s desk, including his Sharpies and infamous Diet Coke button.
“It’s funny. I actually know my way pretty well around this place,” she said.
When someone off camera asked how old she was when she first visited, Kai replied, “That was 2017, and it’s almost 2027,” referring to the start of Trump’s first term in office.
The University of Miami golf recruit later walked through the Rose Garden, joking about statues of historic figures as if she were giving fans a casual tour of the family backyard.
“This is my friend Alexander Hamilton. What a chiller,” she said. “Over here, we have Benjamin Franklin, who’s also my dear friend. Old boy Benji. We call him Benji.”
The breezy tone did not sit well with critics, who flooded X with furious reactions.
“This should enrage every American,” one person wrote. “The scale of waste, fraud, entitlement, nepotism, corruption, theft, and all the rest is wild.”
“So this is how spoiled I’ve been the last decade,” another person snarked.
“It’s not YOUR house. It’s ours,” a third critic fired back.
Another angry commenter wrote, “These people act like it is THEIR personal property, and it is disgusting.”
“This isn’t her home,” someone else added.
The controversy comes after Kai’s father, Donald Trump Jr., was also dragged for making a similar remark about the White House earlier this year.
In May, he posted about having a “sleepover at dad’s house” while sharing footage of himself arriving on Marine One with President Trump and walking toward the White House.
That comment also sparked immediate backlash, with critics reminding him that the White House is not a Trump property.
“That’s not your dad’s house, that’s our house,” one person snapped.
Now, Kai’s viral vlog has reignited the same anger, with critics accusing the Trump family of treating the White House like private real estate instead of the publicly owned symbol of the presidency.

Trump haters are so stupid. Kai is a private citizen, so it is her house. I am a private and I consider the White House MY HOUSE.
TDS is coming out. The White House is the one she lives in for now along with the Trump family just like all the presidencies in the past. It is also all who are natural born cans that own the house. Those who have a problem with that need to get a life or get laid.
They will get mad/outraged/horrified at anything!! It’s so ridiculous!
How do you explain to idiots that the place where that girl lives is her home? Or would they just not understand it anyway?
