Hunter Biden Goes on Candace Owens Podcast (Video)

Hunter Biden is stepping straight into the lion’s den.

The son of former President Joe Biden is sitting down with conservative firebrand Candace Owens for a new podcast interview — and the short preview is already sparking shock, curiosity, and plenty of outrage across the political world.

For years, Hunter has been one of the right’s favorite targets. His laptop, drug addiction, legal troubles, business dealings, and messy personal life have fueled endless headlines, congressional investigations, and cable news takedowns.

But now, in a twist few saw coming, Hunter is speaking directly to one of his loudest critics.

And in the trailer, he does not exactly run from the ugliest parts of his past.

Owens released a two-minute preview of the interview on X on Monday, teasing a conversation that touches on addiction, Washington corruption, the Biden family, Charlie Kirk, and the political machine Hunter says turned on his father.

At one point, Hunter confronts Owens for previously calling him a “crackhead.”

His response was blunt.

“The truth of the matter is, I was a crackhead,” he said.

It was the kind of raw admission that immediately grabbed attention online.

Hunter also opened up about his marriage falling apart and took aim at what he described as a corrupt D.C. establishment that exists beyond party labels.

“It’s not left or right,” he said in the clip. “The D.C. elite of the left, they crushed my dad because he was never part of that club. He was never part of the Epstein class.”

That line alone lit up social media, with critics and supporters trying to decode exactly what Hunter meant.

He also appeared to defend Owens over backlash she received for raising questions after the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

“The criticism of you for asking the questions of someone who was like a brother to you? It’s like, what the eff are you talking about?” Hunter said.

Perhaps most surprisingly, Hunter even told Owens he listens to her and sometimes thinks, “right on.”

For many viewers, that was the most jarring moment of all.

Owens has spent years hammering Hunter and the Biden family, especially over the infamous laptop scandal that exploded in the final weeks of the 2020 presidential race.

The controversy began when the New York Post published materials it said came from a laptop Hunter allegedly left at a Delaware repair shop. The story quickly became a political firestorm, with conservatives accusing the media and social platforms of burying damaging information about the Biden family.

Some officials and media figures initially raised concerns the materials could be tied to a foreign influence operation. Conservatives later pointed to the episode as proof that major institutions worked to protect Joe Biden before the election.

The laptop fueled stories about Hunter’s drug use, finances, foreign business connections, and personal scandals. It also became central to the so-called Twitter Files, which examined how the platform handled the New York Post story.

Owens has been one of Hunter’s harshest critics throughout the saga.

In 2022, she blasted media coverage of the laptop during an appearance on Fox News. A year earlier, she called Hunter a “degenerate” on X and said he should be in prison.

That history makes the interview all the more explosive.

The clip quickly drew attention from both sides of the aisle.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene said she was “interested” in the interview and praised it as a sign of where the “political underground of America is moving.”

“This what real journalism looks like,” Greene wrote, adding that many Americans are fed up with the two-party system.

Others were far less impressed.

Tommy Vietor, a former spokesperson for Barack Obama, mocked Hunter’s claim that Joe Biden was never part of the D.C. club.

“Yes, consummate outsider Joe Biden was never welcomed in Washington,” Vietor wrote sarcastically. “Everyone knows that.”

Hunter’s public image has been battered for years by scandal and court battles.

In 2024, he was convicted on three felony gun charges connected to his 2018 purchase of a revolver. Prosecutors said he lied about his drug use when buying the firearm.

He later pleaded guilty to nine tax charges.

Before leaving office, Joe Biden pardoned his son, wiping away the looming sentencing in both cases and setting off another political firestorm.

Now Hunter is back in the spotlight — not through a courtroom, not through a congressional hearing, and not through leaked materials.

This time, he is speaking for himself.

The full interview with Candace Owens is set to air Thursday, and judging by the reaction to the trailer, it is already shaping up to be one of the strangest political media moments of the year.
