TV Star Rushed to the Hospital After ‘In-Flight Emergency’

A terrifying mid-flight ordeal forced “Dancing with the Stars” judge Carrie Ann Inaba into an emergency medical situation that ended with her being rushed to the hospital the moment her plane touched down in New York.

The 58-year-old TV personality revealed she suddenly became “very unwell” while flying from Los Angeles to New York on April 15 — and her symptoms quickly spiraled into something far more alarming than a routine travel issue.

“I was dizzy, nauseous, very warm and my arms started feeling numb,” Inaba said, describing the frightening moment that unfolded thousands of feet in the air.

According to officials, emergency crews were called to a Delta Air Lines flight parked at John F. Kennedy International Airport’s Terminal 4 shortly after landing. Paramedics rushed onboard and transported the stricken star to a nearby hospital.

Inaba later shared raw footage of the aftermath, posting videos from inside an ambulance and her hospital room — giving fans a glimpse into the chaos that followed the mid-air scare.

At first, she thought it might be food poisoning. But things took a chilling turn when she broke out in a cold sweat and, most alarmingly, lost feeling in her arms — the moment she realized something was seriously wrong.

Thankfully, a doctor onboard and the flight crew stepped in quickly, stabilizing her before the plane landed. But the ordeal didn’t end there.

Inaba revealed her blood pressure dropped while she was being transported to the ER, adding another layer of danger to an already tense situation. She was treated with fluids both at the hospital and later at her hotel as she continued recovering.

Despite the shocking symptoms, Inaba clarified the incident was not directly tied to her ongoing battle with Sjögren’s syndrome, an autoimmune disease she has been open about in recent years. Still, she admitted the experience served as a stark reminder.

“It taught me the importance of listening to and trusting my body when something doesn’t feel right,” she said.

Now, the longtime “Dancing with the Stars” judge — who has been a staple on the hit show since 2005 — says she’s taking time to rest and recover before jumping back into her advocacy work.

“I’m so grateful to everyone who helped me through such a scary experience,” she added.

The health scare comes as Inaba prepares for a busy stretch, including an appearance at the upcoming “Dancing with the Stars” convention this summer — but for now, it’s all about recovery after a flight that turned into a full-blown emergency.
