Sir Rod Stewart found himself in a tight spot during a recent luxury shopping trip after becoming trapped inside a Prada store elevator with his son and his son’s girlfriend.

The 81-year-old rock legend was browsing the designer store with his 20-year-old son, Alastair, and Alastair’s girlfriend, Mell Ratto, when the elevator suddenly stopped working.

With no quick rescue in sight, the trio eventually gave up standing and sprawled out on the elevator floor as they waited for someone to come to their aid.

Photos from the bizarre ordeal showed the “Maggie May” singer looking hot, tired and thoroughly fed up as the group sat inside the stalled lift.

Despite Stewart’s superstar status, help apparently did not arrive immediately.

The group finally turned to social media and contacted Prada through Instagram with a simple message: “Can someone help get us out of the elevator?”

Although being stuck in a cramped elevator would send some people into a panic, Stewart and his companions appeared more bored than frightened during the unexpected drama last week.

The rock icon has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice, but even his legendary status could not get the elevator doors open any faster.

Fans may have been tempted to rewrite one of Stewart’s most famous lyrics for the occasion: “Wake up, Prada, I think I got something to say to you.”

The elevator mishap is the latest in a string of setbacks for the veteran performer.

In June, Stewart reportedly needed an oxygen tank during a concert in West Valley City, Utah, after nearly fainting onstage. He continued the performance but was seen taking breaths from the oxygen equipment throughout the rest of the show.

That scare came roughly one week after Stewart canceled a California concert due to health concerns.

However, some disappointed fans were furious when the singer was spotted flying by private jet to Boston just 24 hours later to watch Scotland play Haiti in the World Cup.

The decision sparked backlash from concertgoers who had expected to see Stewart perform and questioned how he was healthy enough to travel to a soccer match so soon after canceling his show.

This time, however, Stewart’s latest drama ended without any reported injuries — just an uncomfortable wait on the floor of a designer elevator and a shopping trip he is unlikely to forget.
