A royal storm may be brewing in Britain, and Princess Diana’s name could be pulled back into the headlines in the most explosive way.

Andrew Windsor and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson are said to be weighing their next move after being stripped of their royal status and pushed out of the life they once knew. Now, sources claim the disgraced former couple may be tempted to cash in on palace secrets, including private details involving King Charles’ late ex-wife, Princess Diana.

“They both know where all the bodies are buried, so to speak,” one insider claimed.

The alleged revenge plot comes after King Charles took the dramatic step of stripping Andrew, 66, of the right to use his prince title or the Duke of York title. The move was tied to Andrew’s long-running scandal over his association with Jeffrey Epstein.

The decision also means Ferguson, 66, can no longer use her cherished courtesy title of Duchess of York.

But the embarrassment did not stop there.

Charles also ruled that Andrew must leave Royal Lodge in Windsor, the $40 million home where he has lived for decades with Ferguson, despite the couple’s 1996 divorce.

For Andrew, the fall from royal life has been years in the making.

In 2022, his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, stripped him of his palace duties and royal paycheck after Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre sued him, claiming he sexually assaulted her when she was 17.

Andrew denied Giuffre’s accusations. He later reportedly paid her around $15 million to settle the lawsuit. Giuffre is believed to have died by suicide in April 2025 at age 41.

Ferguson has also faced renewed scrutiny over her own ties to Epstein.

She was publicly blasted after an old email surfaced in which she referred to Epstein as a “supreme friend.” The message appeared to contradict her March 2011 vow to cut ties with him.

Ferguson later explained that she had only criticized Epstein publicly to protect her career as a children’s author and philanthropist.

After the email became public, her representative said the note was sent in an effort to defuse Epstein’s alleged threat to sue her for defamation and damage the York family, including the couple’s daughters, Princess Beatrice, 37, and Princess Eugenie, 36.

Her original vow to distance herself from Epstein came nearly two years after he served 13 months in a Florida jail for soliciting prostitution with a minor. Epstein later died in a New York City jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges.

The fallout for Ferguson was swift.

She was dropped as a patron or ambassador by at least seven charities. Her next planned children’s book was also scrapped by its publisher.

Now, insiders claim Andrew and Ferguson may be looking for a major payday, and they may have noticed just how profitable royal bombshells can be.

Prince Harry reportedly secured an estimated $20 million advance for his tell-all memoir Spare, which took direct aim at life inside the royal family.

“Charles took a big risk banishing Andrew and Fergie out of Royal Lodge and stripping them of their titles, because now they have nothing to lose, especially Fergie,” one insider claimed.

The source added that the pair may find the idea of a book deal especially appealing now that their royal privileges have collapsed.

“The money isn’t exactly pouring in,” the insider said. “Some publishers, in particular, may want Andrew and/or Fergie to reveal Diana’s secrets. The public would just eat that up. Fergie and Diana were very close. There’s no telling what she knows.”

Ferguson’s connection to Diana has long fascinated royal watchers.

The two women were once close friends and sisters-in-law. Both also experienced the pressures, heartbreak, and public scrutiny that came with marrying into the royal family.

According to the insider, Ferguson may even have personal letters or notes from Diana.

Those mementos could prove even more valuable than a memoir, the source claimed, especially given Diana’s enduring popularity more than 25 years after her death.

Diana died in 1997 after a car crash in Paris. She was 36.

Her death came one year after her divorce from Charles. Their marriage had been deeply unhappy and was shadowed for years by his relationship with Camilla Parker Bowles, who later became his wife and queen.

Diana, beloved around the world as the “People’s Princess,” was the mother of Prince William and Prince Harry. Had she lived, she would have turned 65 this year.
