A terrifying midair emergency turned into a miracle rescue Tuesday after a small plane carrying 11 people crashed into the ocean near the Bahamas — and every single person on board survived.
Officials say the Beechcraft 300 King Air turboprop went down around 12:05 p.m. about 50 miles east of Florida’s Vero Beach Regional Airport after the pilot suddenly declared an emergency and lost contact with air traffic control.
The aircraft had taken off from Marsh Harbour Airport in the Bahamas and was headed to Grand Bahama International Airport in Freeport when disaster struck over the water.
For several tense moments, authorities feared the worst.
Rescue crews from both the United States and the Bahamas raced to the crash site as the U.S. Coast Guard launched a C-27 aircraft to help search the area. Multiple Bahamian agencies also joined the frantic operation.
In an outcome few expected, all 11 people on board were found alive.
Officials confirmed the survivors were rescued from the water and taken in for medical evaluations after the horrifying crash.
Investigators say the exact cause of the emergency is still a mystery. The Federal Aviation Administration and Bahamian authorities are now working to determine what caused the plane to suddenly go down in the ocean.
The dramatic rescue is already being called a miracle after what could have easily become a deadly tragedy in the waters off Florida and the Bahamas.

No doubt in my mind GOD was on that flight. Remacient of the Hudson River crash when Pilot Sully Sullenberger landed safely, all survived!!!
