Harrison Ford just reminded everyone why he’s still one of Hollywood’s most entertaining legends.
The 83-year-old actor stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live this week to promote the new season of Shrinking, but the interview took a sharp (and hilarious) left turn when Kimmel asked him an extremely personal question.
Kimmel wanted to know if Ford had ever “made love” while listening to the soundtrack of one of his own movies — even tossing out the idea of his 1985 thriller Witness as a suggestion.
Ford paused, played it cool, and then delivered the driest punchline possible.
“Of course I have,” he said, deadpan.
The studio instantly erupted. And online, the moment landed just as hard.
Fans flooded social media with praise for Ford’s signature humor, calling him quick, sarcastic, and effortlessly funny — with plenty of people also pointing out that he’s still got that classic movie-star charm.
The joke also comes as Ford has been unusually candid lately about love, marriage, and what it takes to keep a relationship strong over time.
During a recent chat on NPR’s Wild Card with Rachel Martin, Ford talked about staying connected as you get older — and made it very clear that romance isn’t just for the young.
“Old people can love, too,” he said, before shifting into blunt, Ford-style relationship wisdom: staying in love means maintaining it, nurturing it, and basically not messing it up.
And when Martin pointed out that love takes work every day, he cracked another line that sounded like it could be stitched on a pillow: some days, you get “days off for bad behavior.”
Ford has been married to Calista Flockhart, 61, since 2010, and the pair are known for keeping their private life mostly private. But they’ve popped up together more recently, including a rare red-carpet moment earlier this month at the newly renamed Actor Awards, where Ford accepted a SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award.
They looked relaxed, happy, and completely in their own world — at one point, Flockhart even leaned in and kissed him on the cheek while cameras snapped away.
Meanwhile, Ford has also been openly flirting with the idea of slowing down.
In a past interview, he admitted he’d like to stop working eventually and spend more time at home with family — a move that reportedly wouldn’t exactly break Flockhart’s heart.
Insiders have long claimed she’d love to see him step away from the nonstop grind and settle into their quieter life, including time spent on their sprawling property in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Whether he’s cracking shocking jokes on late-night TV or talking honestly about marriage, Ford’s message seems clear: he’s still got plenty of spark — and he’s going to say exactly what he wants while he’s at it.
