SeaWorld Guests Rushed to the Hospital After Ride Freezes Mid-Run

A sudden ride stoppage at SeaWorld Orlando sent a wave of panic through the park — and ended with multiple guests being taken to the hospital.

Orange County Fire Rescue confirmed to WESH that a “ride pause” incident left several visitors needing medical attention. SeaWorld said the ride was paused for about seven minutes, and during that time six guests reported feeling unwell.

Emergency crews were called shortly after the ride resumed, and the six guests were transported to a local hospital for evaluation. Officials said the injuries were non-life-threatening.

SeaWorld insisted the attraction returned to normal operations soon after, and the park repeated that safety is its “top priority.”

The Scare Comes as SeaWorld Is Still Dealing With a Wild Lawsuit Over a Roller Coaster “Bird Strike”

The shocking hospital incident hits as SeaWorld has already been under scrutiny over another bizarre and disturbing claim — a lawsuit from a guest who says she was knocked unconscious by a duck while riding the park’s Mako roller coaster.

In the lawsuit, Hillary Martin says that during a March 2025 visit, a duck allegedly flew into the path of the coaster and caused her to lose consciousness, leaving her with injuries she described as permanent — including physical pain and emotional distress.

Martin claims SeaWorld failed to keep the area safe and didn’t warn guests about the potential danger. The lawsuit points to the coaster’s location near water — an area frequented by waterfowl — and argues the ride’s setup increases the risk of collisions, calling it a “zone of danger” for bird strikes.

SeaWorld later issued a short statement saying it takes safety seriously but would not comment further because the case is still pending.
