The ongoing tension in Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s marriage is reportedly becoming harder to ignore.

Insiders have revealed that the Duchess of Sussex has left her husband feeling sidelined during their recent trips to Nigeria and South America. According to sources close to the royal couple, Meghan has been pushing Harry, 40, into the shadows, making him feel like a mere “spare part.”

But Harry, once content to stand by Meghan’s side, seems to have had enough. Lately, he’s been stepping into the spotlight on his own, making multiple solo appearances and trips. Notably, the Duke of Sussex has made two recent visits to the U.K. without Meghan, despite his earlier claims that it was too “unsafe” for his wife and children to travel to England without significant security measures. He even pursued legal action over this issue.

After his most recent visit to the U.K., Harry stopped in Lesotho for charity work with Sentebale. Meanwhile, Meghan, 42, stayed behind in California with their two young children, Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3. Yet, Meghan hasn’t been laying low either. Royal author Phil Dampier weighed in, telling The Sun, “In the last couple of weeks, we’ve gotten used to seeing Harry flying solo. He’s been in New York, Africa, London—it’s clear he’s decided to branch out and do things on his own.”

Dampier went on to suggest that Harry felt overshadowed by Meghan during their travels, particularly to Colombia and Nigeria. “I think she came across as the dominant partner, and perhaps he felt like a bit of a spare part, a bolt-on accessory,” Dampier remarked. “It’s clear that it didn’t sit well with him, and now he’s chosen to take a different path.”

As Harry continues to make high-profile appearances without Meghan, rumors swirl that the couple is leading increasingly “separate lives.” A source close to Meghan has dismissed such speculation, insisting, “It’s normal for couples not to do everything together.” However, the sight of Meghan at the L.A. gala, once again without her husband, only adds fuel to the fire.
