Shannon and her family have voiced suspicions that this decision to cremate John’s body was made hastily to avoid any further investigation into the conditions surrounding his death.

Without possession of John’s death certificate at the time of their statement, the family expressed uncertainty over where and why he passed away, although they were aware he had been suffering from congestive heart failure and dementia.

As the family seeks answers, the controversy deepened when Belinda Foster, John Amos’ longtime publicist, released her own statement in response to the allegations. Foster, who had represented John professionally for over 30 years, strongly denied the claims of neglect and mistreatment made by Shannon and other family members.
