Shelby Daniele, a standout college track star and record-breaking athlete at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), has tragically died. Daniele, who made an indelible mark on the track and field community, was only 23 years old.
In a heartfelt message shared via Instagram on Friday, Cal Poly’s athletic department expressed deep sorrow over her passing.
The university described Daniele as an athlete with a “remarkable heart” who left a lasting impact both on and off the track. Despite her young age, Shelby’s legacy extended far beyond her athletic achievements, and she was widely regarded as a leader among her peers. The cause of her death has not been revealed.
Shelby Daniele’s athletic resume is nothing short of exceptional. During her time at Cal Poly, she excelled as both a student and an athlete, earning her bachelor’s degree, followed by a master’s degree in agriculture.
As a dedicated member of Cal Poly’s track and field team, Daniele served as the team captain and was honored six times as an All-Big West athlete. She also became a two-time Big West champion, solidifying her place among the university’s most celebrated athletes.
Daniele’s name will forever be etched in Cal Poly’s record books. She holds the school record for the indoor 200-meter dash, completing it in an astounding 24.69 seconds.
In addition to this accomplishment, she ranks prominently in the school’s top times for the 60-meter and 100-meter indoor races. Her athletic prowess was matched by her commitment to her teammates and her role as a mentor for younger athletes.
Beyond the track, Shelby’s academic and professional aspirations were equally impressive. Just this past June, she proudly received her master’s degree in agriculture, posing for photos with her family, her smile beaming with joy and pride.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Daniele was deeply passionate about environmental sustainability and agriculture, and she was committed to improving the world around her. She viewed her work in agriculture as a way to “give back to society” and help protect the environment for future generations.
Shelby Daniele’s passing is an immense loss for her family, friends, teammates, and the entire Cal Poly community. Her contributions to the university, both academically and athletically, will not be forgotten, and her memory will live on as an inspiration to all who knew her.

….wow….and yet….no cause of death? Was she forced to take the non-vaccine “vaccines”? Is that what killed her? They plaster these stories with all kinds of details about their life accomplishments…but they don’t say why she died? Amazing.
