A heartbreaking new revelation about beloved actress Catherine O’Hara is leaving fans stunned — and reaching for tissues.
Months after her death in January, the Emmy-winning star’s brother, Michael P. O’Hara, is opening up about what he describes as a haunting and beautiful “final goodbye”… one that didn’t happen in person, but in a dream.
Speaking on his podcast Dreams of Our Loved Ones, Michael revealed that just days before Catherine passed on January 28, he experienced what he believes was a deeply meaningful visit.
“I was hugging her,” he shared. “It was really beautiful… and I guess it was sort of a goodbye.”
Behind the scenes, the actress known for lighting up screens had quietly withdrawn in her final days. According to her brother, Catherine “wasn’t talking much in the end” and had stopped taking phone calls as her health declined.
“She didn’t really want to talk on the phone,” he said, noting the distance between them as she remained in Los Angeles.
But the emotional story didn’t stop there.
Michael claims Catherine appeared to him again — this time in a vivid dream that painted a surprisingly peaceful picture of what he described as “the other world.”
In that dream, she was in a new home, busy decorating and choosing furniture, radiating happiness.
“She said, ‘You can sleep here anytime, Michael. You can come over and stay anytime,’” he recalled.
The moment struck a powerful chord, echoing real memories from decades earlier when he would stay at her place during her early comedy days.
For Michael, the dreams weren’t just imagination — they were comfort.
“The love continues no matter what,” he said. “They’re always with us.”
The emotional revelations come as Hollywood continues to mourn the loss of a comedy icon. O’Hara’s passing sent shockwaves through the entertainment world, especially among her Schitt’s Creek family.
Her co-star Dan Levy recently admitted the loss still feels overwhelming.
“It’s a collective loss. She was the greatest. She’s irreplaceable,” he said during an appearance on The Tonight Show.
Levy even revealed that any hopes of a Schitt’s Creek revival have been put on hold indefinitely.
“You can’t,” he said bluntly, fighting back emotion. “Not now.”
For fans, Catherine O’Hara wasn’t just a performer — she was a once-in-a-generation talent whose warmth, humor, and unforgettable characters left a permanent mark on television history.
