Hollywood Stars Flee Fire in One of the World’s Top Hotels

What was supposed to be a glamorous day in Paris quickly turned into a scene of panic after a fire broke out inside one of the world’s most elite hotels—sending Hollywood A-listers scrambling for safety.

A group of celebrities, including Sarah Michelle Gellar and her co-stars from Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, were abruptly forced to evacuate the iconic Bristol Hotel on Wednesday after flames reportedly ignited in the kitchen area, according to TMZ. The incident unfolded as hundreds of guests—including members of the film’s press event—were inside the building.

At the time of the fire, roughly 400 people were staying at the five-star hotel, which is known for hosting world leaders, high-profile dignitaries, and some of the biggest names in entertainment. What began as a routine press appearance quickly turned into a full-scale emergency, with guests ushered out as smoke and chaos spread through the building.

Emergency crews responded in force, with more than 100 firefighters rushing to contain the blaze before it could spread further. Hotel staff reportedly attempted to extinguish the fire before first responders arrived, leaving at least two employees injured. One additional person was also hurt during the ordeal.

Despite the terrifying scene, officials later confirmed that all guests were safely accounted for and eventually allowed to return once the situation was under control.

The Bristol Hotel—long considered one of Paris’ most luxurious and historic stays—has hosted presidents and royalty and even made a cinematic appearance in Midnight in Paris. But for those inside on Wednesday, the opulent setting quickly gave way to a heart-pounding escape no one saw coming.

For a moment, the City of Light turned into a scene straight out of a Hollywood disaster film—only this time, the stars were living it.
